wedding dress

i fell in love with this dress the minute i saw it. it's by syahrir nurdin, one of the famous designers ppl hire for weddings. just how i like it, simple yet gorgeous.

the other two below is by syomir izwa & syaiful baharim, which i like too.

less is definitely more for me. i dont know if i can afford hiring these designers but the designs are something to refer to just like what i wanted. not sure though if i want to rent or buy.

Venue.

so we did survey the possible venues for the wedding. we went to:

1. tmn rimba ttdi
there are a lot of ppl have done their wedding here for a garden themed wedding. the place is nice but for 1000 invitations, the area is considered not big enough. the land rental is cheap, the amount we need to pay is only rm200 but if you want to rent the toilet too for the guests, it'll be an additional charge. all we need is just to rent canopies, tables, chairs and the decorations.

2. KGPA
its an open/garden themed wedding area facing the golf course. the rent of the area is rm1000 together with the catering which is rm30+/pax for buffet and rm45+/pax for dome. Tables, chairs and pa system are included with the price. The decos and pelamin we can use theirs or outside planners (separate charge). extra canopies are rm750 for normal one or rm950 for transparent canopies. there are also a hall upstairs for rm800 but it could only accomodate about 400+ ppl.

3. Laman Florikultur, MAEPS, Serdang
Its an open land with flowers around, situated up a bit of the hills in front of the horse field. we can see the nice view of the fields in upm, mardi and maeps up there. nice place but we didn't ask the price and the details yet.

4. Kelab Tasik Putrajaya
an open air lakeside wedding with the rental charge of the land is rm2800. the catering starts from rm20/pax and the canopies rental starts from rm600 which is quite expensive for me. one canopy with 4 tables, no chair cover for rm600 is expensive compared to the one i took for my engagement-one canopy, 6 tables, 60 chairs with covers, 2 buffet tables for only rm490. but then again, weddings done there are normally open air concept with no canopies. There will be also additional charges on the pa systems, waiters and so on.

5. Kampung Pengantin, Jln Genting Klang
Its a half indoor half outdoor place as they said. the place is beautiful with the price of rm35/pax for buffet and rm49/pax for dome. Things included in the price is catering, waiters, place rental, tables&chairs(covered), red carpet, and some decos. they have also free services for invitations more than 600 pax, 800 pax and 1200 pax. for more than 1200 pax, free services include pa systems, the pelamin, banting nama pelamin, fondant wedding cake, walkaway and arch fresh flowers deco and also the wedding cards. the price is reasonable i think and the place is nice buuut the parking lot is not well managed. lubang and lopak air everywhere.

so much for the excitement of having a garden wedding, dad suddenly said he prefers having it in a hall but decorate it with garden theme. 'takut hujan' he said. i was frustrated but then when i think back about it, since we're probably having it on december, the possibility of raining is quite high. and so i agreed. well sort of. :P

6. bilik seminar, hall D, maeps, serdang.

sooo, we went to a hall at maeps again. if u go to the MAHA exhibition, u'll know the place. its actually a seminar room in the hall. its a big room that could accomodate for 1000+ ppl. according to the quotation, the actual price for rental is rm5000 but since my dad is a Marditech staff, we are given 30% discount which means rm3500. tables&chairs, pa systems, screens, holding rooms and toilets are included. so far dad seems to like the place and we probably gonna do it there but nothing is confirmed yet.

garden wedding?

when it comes to wedding, i only have one thing in mind.

garden wedding.

i've been dreaming of having a garden wedding ever since i was little. (well, in my teenage years of course)

i have this imagination of having it in a (actual) garden. close to nature. with trees in the background and flowers all over the place.

but there are a lot of things that i need to consider such as the open air concept (takut hujan), the venue, parking space, cleanliness of the place itself, practicality and the comfortableness of guests.

i want it to be not too formal and not too simple. this way i get to go around with the guests with a more 'santai' feeling. i dont like all the protocals. :P

and i need to also calculate the budget to see if its not too expensive. i wanna try not to spend more on unnecessary things. (penting nih-altho its hard. tgk gmbr smue pn nak! :P)

but this is just my idea. of course when it comes to family, everybody have their opinions on which is better which is not. i have to discuss with the people (family) involved too.

plan B would be just having it at a dewan but with garden concept decorations.

here's some of the inspirations,

i sooo love the chiavari chairs & the transparent canopies! but i'm sure it's gonna cost a lot. must check that.

p/s: the above 4 pics is at tmn rimba ttdi just nearby my hse but tk prnah masuk pun. :P i shud go check that out.
